Use this checklist to go from a new account to a fully working live chat on your website. Each step links to the detailed guide if you need more information. Most teams complete this checklist in under 30 minutes.

Before You Begin

Make sure you have:

  • A Social Intents account - sign up free if you have not yet
  • Admin access to your team platform (Microsoft Teams, Slack, Google Chat, Zoom, or Webex)
  • Access to your website to add a code snippet (or access to your CMS admin panel)

Launch Checklist

1. Choose Your Team Platform

Decide where your agents will respond to chats. Social Intents works with Microsoft Teams, Slack, Google Chat, Zoom, and Webex. Pick the platform your team already uses every day.

2. Connect Your Platform

Link Social Intents to your team platform so chat messages flow to your agents.

3. Create Your Chat Widget

Set up your first chat widget. Name it, choose your welcome message, and pick a color scheme that matches your brand.

4. Add Your AI Chatbot (Recommended)

Set up an AI chatbot to handle the first response and answer common questions automatically. This step is optional but strongly recommended - most teams see over 50 percent of questions answered by the chatbot without any human involvement.

5. Set Up Your Team

6. Install the Widget on Your Website

Add the chat widget to your website. Social Intents works with any website - just paste a code snippet, or use a plugin for WordPress, Shopify, and other platforms.

7. Test Everything
